Creativity is a fickle bitch.

What is it about the hour of 1AM that gets me in a creative mood? Is it the fact that I'm a little tired and have worked for 8+ days straight? Is it the fact that it's really dark? Is it the fact that I'm listening to some of the finest music there is (AfroCelt Sound System)? Is it the fact that a single beer was thrown into the mix? Hell if I know... Either way, it's one of those times of night where my mind feels creative. The other thing that's bee on my mind, in a very good way lately, is our upcoming trip to Switzerland & Germany. It'll be a week of fun, then 3 or 4 days of work related stuff, which will probably involve some fest-meister duties as is my job (even with a few days of bullshit once in a while [past 8] I absolutely love my job). It's in March, so it's a ways off but hot-damn am I hungry for travel outside of the US. This is the first year that Bonnie and I haven't gone abroad and it's friggin' killing me. I can't wait to get over there and see what there is to see. Going to have the laptop, a slew of DVDs, and a spare hard drive with me so I'll be a shooting fool. Alps, early spring, snow, and some fine-ass driving shall ensue and there will be photos, lots and lots of photos. Oh yeah, my brother and his wife are going to be down from Alaska for a few days. Last time he showed up in November it took a couple days to get right. We drank more then one bottle of Scotch (and more beers then I have fingers & toes)that night so I'm envisioning a repeat. Either way, I get to see the guy but once a year so we tend to tear it up when we get together. Can't wait for that. "Let us drink deeply of the bourbon, scotch, and rye until such time as we are fighting drunk..." That seems to be my quote of choice lately. If you've never seen Sealab 2021 - The Feast of Alvis, go find it and watch it and bask in the awesomeness. I'm going to have an official ham & liquor hootananny sometime soon. Anyway, I'm in a damn fine mood so it's off to the lightbox to find some old photos to resurrect and post on my site.
